Will Google penalise AI-generated content?

Google's official position is that it rewards high-quality, helpful content regardless of how it was produced. The March 2024 core update specifically targeted unhelpful, low-quality content — and rewarded sites that publish content that genuinely serves users. IndexPine is designed to produce content that passes Google's Helpful Content criteria: it is specific, substantiated with sources, written for humans first, and covers topics with genuine depth. The Anti-Slop Quality Gate and Brand Voice RAG exist specifically to prevent the thin, repetitive output that Google penalises.

How is IndexPine different from ChatGPT or any other AI writer?

ChatGPT and standalone AI writers are generation tools. You supply a prompt and they produce text. IndexPine is an end-to-end SEO system: it decides what to write (keyword selection), researches competitors before writing, applies your brand voice via RAG (not a system prompt), publishes directly to your CMS, monitors rankings, and automatically updates content that is losing ground. The writing is one step in a larger automated pipeline.

Do I need to install a plugin on my WordPress site?

No. IndexPine connects to WordPress via the standard WordPress REST API, which is built into every WordPress installation since version 4.7. You authenticate with an Application Password (a built-in WordPress feature since 5.6). There is nothing to install and no third-party plugin dependency.

Can I edit articles before they publish?

Yes. Enable "Require manual approval" in Autopilot settings and every generated article stops at Draft status in your IndexPine dashboard. You can read the full article, make any edits in the built-in editor, and then click Publish when you are satisfied. You can also turn off manual approval for new articles but turn it on specifically for self-healing patches, or vice versa.

What happens to my articles if I cancel my subscription?

Everything published to your CMS is yours permanently. Cancelling your IndexPine subscription stops future article generation and publishing, but has zero effect on the articles already live on your website. You can also export all articles stored in IndexPine as HTML or Markdown before cancelling.

How long does it take to generate an article?

The full pipeline — research, outline, draft, quality gate — takes between 20 and 60 seconds. More competitive keywords with longer research passes take closer to 60 seconds. The timer starts when you trigger generation and ends when the article appears in your dashboard as a Draft.

Can IndexPine write in languages other than English?

Yes. IndexPine supports native article generation in over 15 languages including Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), and Korean. The research pass is run in the target language — IndexPine does not translate from English, it researches and writes natively.

Does IndexPine work for new websites with no existing traffic?

Yes, though the ROI curve is different. For brand-new sites, Google Search Console will not have useful data initially. IndexPine's keyword selection falls back to competitor gap analysis and AI-driven topical expansion. The Rank-Decay Self-Healing Engine becomes relevant once articles have been indexed and ranked, typically 2–6 weeks after publishing. Start with 2–3 articles per week and increase as the domain gains authority.

How does the Rank-Decay Self-Healing Engine know when an article is losing rankings?

It uses the Google Search Console data from your connected GSC property. Specifically, it tracks the average position metric for each article URL for its primary keyword. A drop of 3 or more positions, sustained over at least 14 consecutive days, triggers a self-heal. Single-day drops (often caused by Google algorithm tests) are ignored.
