Google Search Console

Google Search Console is the single most valuable data source you can connect to IndexPine. Without it, keyword selection is based on competitive analysis alone. With it, IndexPine can see exactly which queries your site is already appearing for, which pages are losing rankings, and which keywords are one good article away from reaching page one.

What IndexPine does with your GSC data

• Striking distance keywords — queries where your average position is 8–20 (page 1 bottom and page 2). These are the highest-ROI targets: you already have authority, you just need a better article.
• Click-through optimisation — IndexPine compares your CTR against the expected CTR for your average position. A lower-than-expected CTR often signals a weak title or meta description, which IndexPine can regenerate.
• Rank decay detection — any URL that has dropped 3+ positions over 30 days triggers the Self-Healing Engine.
• Content gap discovery — queries with high impressions but zero published content suggest topics your audience is searching for that you have not covered.

How to connect

1. In your IndexPine dashboard, go to Settings > Integrations > Google Search Console.
2. Click "Connect with Google".
3. Sign in with the Google account that has access to your site's Search Console property.
4. Grant IndexPine read-only access to Search Console data. IndexPine never requests write access to GSC.
5. Select the property (e.g. sc-domain:myblog.com or https://myblog.com/) that matches your site.
6. Click "Save". IndexPine imports the last 16 months of available data immediately.

Data freshness

Google Search Console data typically has a 48–72 hour delay before it reflects real-world search activity. IndexPine syncs your GSC data every 24 hours. This means the striking-distance keyword list and rank decay alerts are based on data that is at most 3–4 days old — accurate enough for weekly editorial decisions.

If your site does not have a GSC property yet

Set one up first at search.google.com/search-console. The simplest verification method is DNS TXT record verification if you have access to your domain registrar. Google typically confirms DNS verification within a few minutes. Once verified, it takes 3–7 days for GSC to accumulate enough data to be useful, but you can connect IndexPine as soon as the property is verified.
