Autopilot & schedule

Decide whether articles publish automatically, and configure exactly when and how often.

Autopilot is the engine that runs IndexPine continuously in the background. When it is on, IndexPine picks the next keyword in your queue, runs the full research and writing pipeline, and publishes the article to your CMS β€” every day, without any input from you.

Turning Autopilot on and off

The Autopilot toggle is the most prominent control in your dashboard header. Toggle it off at any time to pause all automatic publishing. Articles already in the "Generating" state will complete. No article will be published until you toggle it back on.

Publishing frequency

Set how many articles IndexPine should publish per week. You can choose any number from 1 to 7 (one per day maximum). We recommend starting at 3 articles per week if your site is less than 6 months old β€” a sudden spike in new content on a brand-new domain can look unnatural to search engines.

Publishing velocity matters
If you are on a brand-new domain with no existing content, start at 2–3 articles per week and increase gradually over 2–3 months. A new domain publishing 7 high-quality articles per week from day one is an unusual pattern and may receive increased scrutiny.

Publishing time

Set the time of day articles should be published (in your account timezone). We recommend early morning β€” articles that appear at 6–8am tend to accumulate more same-day traffic from news aggregators and social sharing. Avoid midnight publishing if you plan to share articles immediately on social media.

Manual approval mode

Toggle "Require manual approval" to pause articles at Draft status after they are generated. You will receive an email notification for each draft and can review it in the IndexPine editor before publishing. Once you click "Publish", the article goes to your CMS immediately regardless of the scheduled publishing time.

Autopilot and the self-healing engine

The self-healing engine runs independently of Autopilot's keyword publishing schedule. Even if Autopilot is set to 2 articles per week, the self-healing engine may additionally push content refresh patches for decaying articles. These do not count against your weekly article quota.
